Do I need to make a reservation before picking up the vehicle?
How can I make my reservation?
It is essential to make the reservation before picking up your vehicle to guarantee the availability of the model you need. You can book by phone, email, through our website or using WhatsApp.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Yes, you can modify or cancel your reservation at no additional charge as long as you let us know in advance. You can do it by phone, email, etc., in the same way you made the reservation.

How far in advance should I make the reservation?
Although it is possible to make reservations for the same day, there is a risk of unavailability of the desired vehicle. Since it is not necessary to make any payment in advance to book, we recommend that you call us as soon as you know the type of vehicle and the dates, to assure your reservation and avoid running
out of a car.

What are the requirements for renting?
You must be at least 25 years old and have had a driving licence for more than a year. In addition, you must present a valid ID or NIE and a driving licence (check that they are not expired). Both documents must be presented when picking up the vehicle, and the driving licence must be valid to drive in Spain.

Can I bring copies of my ID or driving licence?
No, we need the original document of all authorised drivers.

Can I rent if I am under 25 years old?
If you are between 23 and 24 years old, you can rent a vehicle with us with an additional charge of €6 + VAT per rental day.

Is there a maximum age to rent?
No, as long as your driving licence is valid and you meet all the requirements, there is no age limit to rent with us.

What happens if my driving licence is expired?
We cannot rent you a vehicle if your permit is expired. However, you can get a temporary authorisation to drive by undergoing a medical examination to get a provisional authorisation while waiting for the renewal of your licence.

What happens if my points have been removed from my driving licence?
If you still keep points on your driving licence, they will not have withdrawn it. Simply, make sure to present your driving licence when picking up the vehicle.

How and when I pay for my rental?
The payment of the rental is made at the time of picking up the vehicle, along with the payment of a deposit. Payment can be made by credit or debit card, and the cardholder must be present at the time of payment. In some cases, cash payment is also accepted (consult with us). It is not necessary for the payer to be the driver.

Is it necessary to leave a deposit?
Yes, the customer must leave a deposit of €200, which will be paid by credit or debit card.

How long does it take to refund the deposit?
The refund of the deposit is made on the same day you return the vehicle. We can send you a proof of refund for your register. If you do not receive the refund within a few working days, you can contact your bank for more information.

What is the fuel policy?
We operate with the “Fill-Fill” system. We will give you the vehicle with the tank full of fuel and you must return it in the same conditions.

Can invoices be issued in the name of a company?
Yes, we can issue invoices in the name of a company. To do this, we need the company’s data, including its name, CIF and address.

What does a full risk insurance with excess cover?
The full risk insurance with excess covers damage caused to the vehicle by your fault up to a limit of €300 + VAT.

What is considered “negligence” in terms of insurance?
Negligence refers to the improper use of the vehicle, such as damage caused by driving on inappropriate roads or refuelling with the wrong type of fuel. In such cases, the insurance does not cover the damage and the customer is responsible for paying for the complete repair of the vehicle.

Is the mileage unlimited?
No, the mileage is limited in our rentals. However, we are flexible and we can adjust to your needs. Please tell us the approximate number of kilometres you plan to travel to offer you the best possible price.

What happens if I return the vehicle ahead of time?
If you return the vehicle ahead of time, we will refund the amount corresponding to the unused period. However, keep in mind that we will charge you according to the actual days of use of the vehicle.

Who can drive the vehicle? Can I add other drivers?
Only the people designated in the rental agreement can drive the vehicle. You can include additional drivers in the contract, as long as they meet the driving requirements of the vehicle. An additional charge will be applied for each additional driver. It is important to remember that any unauthorised driver can generate legal and insurance problems in the event of an accident.

What is the minimum/maximum rental time?
Our rentals are based in 24-hour periods. In addition, if you need a long-term rental (monthly or annual), we will be happy to help you.

How can I extend the rental contract with Rent a Car Josmar?
To extend the rental contract, it is necessary that you come to our office before the contract expires. This is important for legal and security reasons in case of setbacks such as police controls or accidents (since the insurance will not cover events out of the rental period). In our office, we will proceed to extend the contract, you will sign it, you will pay the difference and you can continue using the vehicle.

Can I return the vehicle in another city?
Our offices are located at Castellón Airport and Vall d’Alba. Therefore, both the delivery and the return of the vehicle must be made in one of these locations. However, we offer delivery and collection service at different points in the province of Castellón. If you want to use this service, contact us to coordinate the details.
Keep in mind that this service has a cost that varies according to the distance between the drop-off point and our office.

Does the price include fuel?
No, when you receive the vehicle, we deliver it to you with a full tank and it is your responsibility to return it in the same conditions, accompanied by the petrol station ticket as proof. If you do not return it full, we will charge you for fuel at our office.

Can I drive outside of Spain?
Our vehicles are authorised to travel only in peninsular Spanish territory. However, we invite you to contact us to discuss specific destinations.

Do you offer automatic vehicles?
Yes, we have manual and automatic transmission vehicles. If you have any preferences, let us know when making the reservation.

Do you have baby chairs available?
Yes, we have chairs and booster seats for children. However, we ask you to install them by yourself for the safety of your little ones.

Do you have snow chains?
Yes, we have snow chains for all our vehicles. If you need them, let us know and we will prepare them for you with a cost of €25 + VAT for the full rental period.

Do you have vehicles with roof luggage carriers?
Yes, some of our vehicles are equipped with roof luggage carriers. Contact us to check availability.

What happens if I experience a breakdown?
All our vehicles have roadside assistance. In case of a breakdown, puncture or other problems that prevent the trip from continuing, call the assistance number indicated in the contract. Help will be sent to the place you are. If the repair is not possible, a replacement vehicle with similar characteristics will be provided.

What should I do in case I have an accident?
In the event of an accident, whether it is your fault or that of another driver, make sure you correctly complete the vehicle incident report that you will find in the glove compartment of the vehicle. You can contact us or the police to get assistance in the reporting process.
Depending on the insurance coverage contracted, you could be responsible for part of the vehicle repair costs.

What happens if I receive a fine?
The fines for road traffic offences while driving the vehicle will be your responsibility and you will have to pay them. However, if the fine is as a result of a vehicle failure, such as the lack of technical inspection, the fine will be addressed to Rent a Car Josmar and we will take care of it.

Can you confirm the exact model of the vehicle?
When making a reservation, a specific type of vehicle is guaranteed. If you have a preference for a particular model, colour or type of fuel, let us know and we will do our best to meet your preferences. In case the requested vehicle is not available at the time of collection, we will offer you a higher category vehicle at the
same price.

Are there hidden charges when paying?
At Rent a Car Josmar, there are no unpleasant surprises when paying. The final rental price is established from the beginning.

Is it possible to issue an invoice in the name of a company?
Absolutely. Please provide us with your company data and we will generate the invoice in its name with no problems. You can receive it in person, by email or by regular mail, according to your preference.

What are your business hours?
To know our schedule, we invite you to check the information on Google. This schedule is detailed for each of our offices and it is updated regularly.

Can I return the vehicle after the office hours?
Yes, we offer this option. We have a car park to drop off the vehicle and a mailbox to leave the keys. This service has no additional charge. When we open the office, we will verify that everything is in order and we will proceed to refund the corresponding deposit.

What happens if I’m late?
Our rentals are usually based on 24-hour periods, with an additional hour courtesy. In case of delay, you will be charged the cost of a full day’s rental, depending on the delay, we can also charge you for management fees.
